One gardener's observations, discoveries and random thoughts whilst simultaneously worshipping and dallying in a Cape Cod garden. "A garden," said Ralph Waldo Emerson, "is like those pernicious machineries which catch a man's coatskirt or his hand, and draw in his arm, his leg and his whole body to irresistable destruction."

A Rainy Ride

In contrast to the snowy commute earlier in the week, today’s ride featured mad rain.

It was a hell of a storm, bringing us somewhere in the neighborhood of four inches of rain. The scene was a bit dramatic where the road crosses through Boat Creek marsh, owing to a nearly full high tide. Funny how these storms always seem to know…full moon coming this weekend, too.

Looking out toward the entrance to Rock Harbor.
