One gardener's observations, discoveries and random thoughts whilst simultaneously worshipping and dallying in a Cape Cod garden. "A garden," said Ralph Waldo Emerson, "is like those pernicious machineries which catch a man's coatskirt or his hand, and draw in his arm, his leg and his whole body to irresistable destruction."

As Spring slowly creeps in our general direction, one of the few ways you can tell is that the sun sets just a smidge later each day, making it a little easier to catch a sunset at the beach.

Here’s the one I enjoyed this evening at Skaket Beach. It’s been so cold lately, that I set this as desktop wallpaper on the computer, and spent a little time pretending to bask in its warmth, longing for summer.
