One gardener's observations, discoveries and random thoughts whilst simultaneously worshipping and dallying in a Cape Cod garden. "A garden," said Ralph Waldo Emerson, "is like those pernicious machineries which catch a man's coatskirt or his hand, and draw in his arm, his leg and his whole body to irresistable destruction."

Cape Cod Bay

As seen from the Rock Harbor Boat Launch, Orleans, MA, around 4:30 p.m.

The nice weather this week (temps in the 50s!!) has helped call our attention to the later sunsets we often miss bundled inside against January’s cold. I might even get those over-looked tulips planted outside sometime this week!

At first glance, I misread and thought it was a sunrise and wanted to know “What is Greg doing up at 4:30 am?” OK, I’m better now. Nice sunSET.
