One gardener's observations, discoveries and random thoughts whilst simultaneously worshipping and dallying in a Cape Cod garden. "A garden," said Ralph Waldo Emerson, "is like those pernicious machineries which catch a man's coatskirt or his hand, and draw in his arm, his leg and his whole body to irresistable destruction."

A little more rain came our way this afternoon, but not before we were able to deliver another truck-load of rocks to our new location. I think we’ll have just one more load of those, and then hopefully I’ll be able to identify an upcoming sunny day on which to create the new garden bed.

Meanwhile, here’s an afternoon view of Boat Meadow Creek.
