One gardener's observations, discoveries and random thoughts whilst simultaneously worshipping and dallying in a Cape Cod garden. "A garden," said Ralph Waldo Emerson, "is like those pernicious machineries which catch a man's coatskirt or his hand, and draw in his arm, his leg and his whole body to irresistable destruction."

Morning Commute

Everyone knows the Midnight Gardener is more of a Night Owl than an Early Bird, so I’m happy to share with you this rare sunrise photo (it happens much later this time of year!) I captured on the way to work this morning!

The scene, in case you don’t recognize it, is Boat Meadow Creek, where Bridge Road crosses, the site of many of my photos from the last few years.
