Late last night, we had a great thunderstorm rumble across the Cape, bringing the first heavy rains we’ve seen in over two weeks.

The back garden is looking a little worse for the wear, after so much heat, and so little rain. I need to do some mowing and deadheading sometime this weekend. Still, amidst the chaos, there are still lovely bits, like this orange marigold…
